The Old Bank Steak & Ribs is the highly acclaimed, locally-owned steak house restaurant which aims to serve delicious food with great service in a warm and comfortable setting
It takes its name from our old building which was the old Barclays Bank and which served Kemptown residents at a time, in the past, when bankers were well respected members of the local community!
In the same way, today we serve the community with old fashioned ideas of courtesy, service and care. Under the direction of our General Manager, Reuben Waller, our excellent staff will make every visit memorable.
We have now opened The Vault Bar in the basement which serves a delicious range of cocktails, wines and beers on a Friday and Saturday night. The Vault Bar is available for bookings every day of the week for private parties soon to include civil ceremonies.
Our Main Menu features steak & ribs, extends to fresh fish, vegetarian dishes and chicken, with a great range of starters and Dessert Menu and extensive Kids Menu.
Win a pound of hot wings every week of the year!
5 guests will compete to eat hot wings from 7-7.15pm.

Spring may be a long way off but don't forget that when the weather improves, our alfresco seats in The Courtyard are waiting for you. This is a great place to eat throughout the day, and especially on balmy evenings - be sure to arrive early to secure a plum spot!
We don’t stint on our obsession with quality fresh food but our prices are designed to deliver outstanding value for money.
We have created a Wine & Drinks List which, we believe, provides great value for money. It contains a range of delicious wines for you to enjoy, with something to suit every palate. Our wines are specially selected by Jonathan Ray (Daily Telegraph, Spectator, The Field and GQ).
The Hove Bank offers great service in a grand cafe restaurant setting with pavement seating on the south east corner of beautiful Palmeira Square in Hove emulating the same success that has already been achieved by the Old Bank.
